This is a larger canvas then I am used to and I really don’t have a easel to do this size but I made do. I teach some basic painting classes and I had a customer ask me what my favorite thing to paint is and I said horses. If you have seen my other posts you would have guessed that was the case. I bought this canvas, knowing I wanted to paint larger. Since that customer asked me that question, I had no doubts that this white canvas would be a horse. After I purchased the canvas I wrote, over the plastic wrap, horse will be here.
I used acrylic paint and besides a brush, I also used a pallet knife. I like the way the knife gives that added texture, then I come back in with a brush to give it a definition. and smaller brush for the very small detail.
